After 2023 in all the sainik schools of India, girls are allowed with 20% seats. For example if in the sainik school Kapurthala there are total 100 seats in class 6 then 80 seats are reserved for boys and 20 seats are reserved for girls. There is farther division in 80 seats based in category’s like sc/st, OBC, Defence, other states and rest seats are for General category and same happen with 20 seats for girls means if a girl belong to sc/st category then only 4 seats are reserved for sc/st category and only 4 seats are there to take admission so you need to be in top 4 of your category which is a difficult task for a person in every category same thing happen so if a child belong to General category he will suffer the most to get a seat in any Sainik School for Girls out of 300 marks he/she need to get 280 marks to get admission in any sainik school
